The Bather

A woman relaxes in a steamy bathroom, phone in hand, flip-flops on the rug. Soguilon takes on one of painting's great subjects, returned to by Manet, Cézanne and Picasso. Like Bonnard, who painted his wife Marthe in the bath for decades, he paints his wife, Aliza, but his bather is entirely of now.

On show at Regent’s Park Gallery, 17 Princess Road, London NW1 8JR, in Me Time, Kris Soguilon’s solo exhibition, 10–24 October 2026. Collection from the gallery, in person or by courier.
