Components of a Peg

This painting is the second installment in a trilogy of peg pictures. It shows a peg de-constructed into it’s various parts. Two are identical wooden components and the third is a wire piece which holds them together. It’s a still picture and was painted from a real peg. Demonstrative of an inquiring quality in Jolley’s practice, the picture presents a familiar object in an unusual way.
