About My Job

One of Jolley’s most significant and beloved pieces, ‘About My Job’ is an attempt to articulate the struggles of balancing creativity atop an already unstable work-life dynamic. A text-based artwork, written atop a pre-fabricated plain plate, the piece moves from the factual details of his real-life employment through to subjective judgements on some of his tasks before ending in a half-joke about his chances of developing a career elsewhere.
