A Trifle Trampled On
A Trifle Trampled On
(From a series of small paintings, portraying acts of defiance, centred around disrupting manners, by dancing on and fighting with the food.) The painting was inspired by the controversial Czechoslovakian sixties film 'Daisies' where the narrative centres on two young women who partake in a series of eccentric, rebellious, and anarchistic pranks. A satire on bourgeois decadence that challenges conventional gender stereotypes, allowing it's heroines to be defined on their own terms. London-based figurative painter, exhibited with ING-Discerning Eye and widely across the UK; known for emotive portraits whose titles suggest narratives without revealing them.
